Cherokee brings a wealth of knowledge to the table after spending more than 25 years in the television news industry as an award- winning anchor/reporter. She also spent many years behind the camera producing stories, shooting video for stories and running the newsroom assignment desk during her time with the Oklahoma City ABC news affiliate, KOCO. Cherokee also loved teaching journalism at the University of Oklahoma, specifically Writing for Broadcast.
Cherokee also worked for the State of Oklahoma as the Public Information Officer and Legislative Liaison at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. She has been with our company for almost nine years in Communications and Public Relations. Cherokee is very involved in our community as a board member with local non-profit organizations like the OKC Indian Clinic, Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, Bella SPCA, OKC Junior League and the Native American Journalist Association.
